Scenarios
The armies of Chaos fan out from the fallen Raven’s Nest, as the forces of the two rival gods seek glory in the names of their dark patrons. Whilst the iron fist of Khorne rolls into the teeth of the Empire armies, the forces of Slaanesh begin a series of lightning strikes along the flanks of the Empire forces.
A series of rolling battles takes place, with the doughty Empire forces desperately trying to bring the decadent host to battle wherever it can. If the forces of Chaos can tie up the Empire reinforcements, then their Khornate allies can smash their way deeper into the heartland of the worshippers of Morr.
Campaign Rules
The Daemon’s Dance – Grappling with the Sylphs of Slaanesh
Play a series of pitched battles against the forces of Slaanesh. These battle represent the Slaaneshi forces drawing out Empire reinforcements, who pursue them in an attempt to eradicate them from the campaign.
The Iron Fist – Repelling the Might of Khorne
For every three battles against Slaanesh, fight one large battle against the forces of Khorne. These battles should be larger in scale, can be pitched battles or sieges, and the Empire can use larger forces dependent on the result of their battles with Slaanesh to represent the disruption to their reinforcements.
Tracking the Invasion
For each battle played, record:
· The armies that fought
· The margin of victory
· The deeds of any named characters
· Any additional objectives established prior to the game
Named characters
Players are encouraged to name and convert characters for the campaign, and record any deeds that the characters achieve. Even if they are ‘killed’, then this may lead to further narrative battles.
Narrative battles
Periodically, players will be assigned battles that represent key moments in the campaign. These will be issued to players to fight, with the results affecting the larger results. All battles, narrative and otherwise will contribute to the big game later in the year.
